BONUS--“Pledges Please!!!!”

     It has come to my attention that two Howard University students are suing the sorority that did NOT let them into the sisterhood.  Laurin Compton & Lauren Cofield, who happen to have mothers that are members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, are crying foul in Federal Court because they did not make the cut in 2010?  They are suing on the grounds that their Human Rights were violated because they pledged, were hazed and were not accepted into the sisterhood.

     ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! The dynamic Lauren and Laurin duo ran home to mommy about being hazed (and I use this term ever so lightly here) and one of the mothers complained!!!!! Ummmmmmmmmmmm…..did someone miss the sisterhood memo here? You do NOT reveal ANY information regarding ANYTHING and you DO NOT call in to complain that your prospective legacy daughter doesn’t like the rituals!!!!!!!! So the duo had to walk around NOT in pink in green (or NO colors that could be mixed into pink and green)….oh my, it must have been torture not to be able to wear pearls…..and oh my gosh, they must have been traumatized by not being able to talk to non-AKA members for a WEEK.  The “sweets” (as pledges are called) got their panties in a bunch when referred to as “sweet bitches” while pledging!!!!! Uh REALLY….you don’t seem to mind it while shaking your ass to EVERY RAPPER on the planet merely calling you BITCH!!!!!!

     In court documents, Lauren & Laurin claim that they were dubbed snitches (in many variations) and they do not agree with the title.  Boo hoo hoo dearie bees! Folks have been called many things while in school!!!! WOMAN UP! You earned the title because……wait for it….you snitched!!!!!! Not to mention….do you really want into something you did not earn your way into? What good is going to come by being known as the “pseudo-sisters” forced into the AKA arena? Why would you want your own legacy to be that of which is tainted by NOT being able to hold your tongue?

    Our society has become weak and waaaaaayyyyy to litigation friendly.  Why work harder or get yourself together….just sue for what you want but don’t deserve?
